Wills Transfer Supporting our Community
Wills Transfer Brockville supported The United Way, Leeds & Grenville by providing trailers and drivers on Saturday, June 26th for The United Way & P&G Retiree Sale. The sale raised $23,555 for the Brockville Food Bank and Food for All Foodbank in Prescott.
The Background Story
In early spring, The United Way approached Wills Transfer to provide shunting services for the P&G Sales Days which take place 3 or 4 times a year. The direct proceeds from the sales go to The United Way Leeds & Grenville.
For those of you not privileged to work in the Warehousing & Distribution Industry, ”shunting” means.
”Shunting refers to the movement of trailers from a yard to a loading door, back to the yard or short distances by road.”
Originally, Wills was approached to shunt partner carrier trailers for the P&G Sale. When P&G’s carrier was no longer able to carry the product, Wills provided two trailers and shunting services for free.
Our complimentary service and support was much appreciated by the P&G warehouse staff who applauded the cleanliness of our transports.
